Film editing is an art of storytelling practiced by connecting two or more shots together to form a sequence, and the subsequent connecting of sequences to form an entire movie. Film editing is the only art that is unique to cinema and which separates filmmaking from all other art forms that preceded it (such as photography, theater, dance, writing, and directing). However there are close parallels to the editing process in other art forms such as poetry or novel writing. It is often referred to as the “invisible art,” since when it is well-practiced, the viewer becomes so engaged that he or she is not even aware of the work of the editor.

-Reporter

  1. A writer, investigator, or presenter of news stories.

- Journalist

Citizen journalism, also known as public or participatory journalism, is the act of citizens “playing an active role in the process of collecting, reporting, analyzing and disseminating news and information,” according to the seminal report We Media: How Audiences are Shaping the Future of News and Information, by Shayne Bowman and Chris Willis. They say, “The intent of this participation is to provide independent, reliable, accurate, wide-ranging and relevant information that a democracy requires.”[1] Citizen journalism should not be confused with civic journalism, which is practiced by professional journalists. Citizen journalism is a specific form of citizen media as well as user generated content.

‘Double Page Spread’ in The Rabbits DP6 all three atcivites in one

1. Read The Rabbits and on your edublog answer: What is its message?

The message of this book called rabbits is a message saying to make sure who you trust and how the stolen generation happened and how the rabbits spread and bred quickly.

Representational:The animals and buildings in this double page show us that the rabbits are bringing their own culture and traditions. The animals from the rabbits homeland came by ship. The rabbits tried to get the numbats to like their food and to like their new upbringins so when they were going to colonise the numbats wouldnt start a fight. The numbats liked some of the rabbits food but some of them didnt like their food and they became sick from it.The rabbits alos bred their animals quickly and then soon on they brought more food and more. Also some of the rabbits animals scared the numbats

INTERACTIVE:This picture shows us that the rabbits have started off the blocks very qiuckly after they have had a long trip as as soon as they have came in the afternoon they have started to make their area and take the animals of the ships. The colour shoes that they have had a longtrip from their homeland. The sheep have 100% symbols on it that shows they are going to be made for cotton and they have numbers for eg 61 on there ear symbolising maybe ,what order they are gona be use for.On the sheep they also have a stamp it might mean, that the part of the sheep which has the stamp will be used for meat because they will cut it from their.

COMPOSITIONAL:The most salient object in this picture is sight of animals eating grass and also being taken to their cabins (area’s of sleep). The grass is green which shoes the grass is fresh healthy and would be a good snack for the animals. The sheep are bright white which means they are healthy. The area in which the animals are in shows us that it is a good area because it has all their reqiurements eg sustance.I aslso see egg from the animals which means they are gettin ready to produce those animals to be sold and eaten.
